Default M5R2 Tranny

Any one know much about this transmission

i know their off the turbocoupes, and i read that using a special flywheel you can bolt it to a 5.0 block

how strong is this thing?

what year turbo coupe?/ caue to my knowlege turbo coupes came with t-5's too...just with the smaller input shaft pilot tip

It'll bolt up to the block and all. Those trannies are mainly found in 86-up ford f-150's. They are a one piece design(bellhousing is cast with the case.). They hold up pretty well. But they are really tall. I don't think our mustangs floorpanwould clear the tranny. And I would think that our flwheel would work. Unless they have a bigger clutch. Which is possible being a truck tranny.
