Default Need a driveshaft for my '92 5.0

I'm trying to locate a stock driveshaft for my '92 5.0. I don't want a used one from the junk yard. I don't want to spend $300.00 on a Ford Racing aluminum driveshaft...I just want a new, stock driveshaft for a '92 5.0 GT Mustang. I can't seem to find one anywhere. Can someone point me in a good direction?

I Need one because while troubleshooting a really bad vibration in the center of the car, I went to replace the u-joints. Upon removing the driveshaft, I found that the forward yoke on the driveshaft had busted open and had actually let a few of the needle bearings fall out..not a good situation...and no wonder it was vibrating! :-/

I don't really want to go to a junk yard since ya never really know what you're getting there. I would hate to get a driveshaft from the 'yard and end up with a piece of junk with a wallowed out yoke or a crak in it somewhere, etc.

I was hoping that I could pick up an aftermarket "stock-ish" driveshaft somewhere...

I hate to just PM some guy out of the blue, but may do so if someone doesn't chime in with a good place to look...

Thanks for the responses so far.

I replied to your email, but I only have one left and it's for a AOD. What do you need?

5-speed, 28-spline. Thanks for the reply.

I guess I'll just have to hit the junk yard as suggested earlier. I called them and they want $125 for a used shaft...heck, at that price I may as well drop 300 on a brand new aluminum one. At least that way I know what I'm getting. *grumble* again.

Have you checked around for drive train shop in your area? I broke mine in the same location along with the rear housing for the trans. I took it to them and they got a replacement for 50 bucks, something to consider. I think the hardest part was finding them in the yellow pages though, but if your in or around the DFW area look them up, American Drive Train.
