Default EXHAUST question!!!!!!!!!!

I'm having trouble getting any answers about bassani headers on this board and they are expensive so I may just choose something else. I pretty much have my mind set on getting LM2 and o/r prochamber (maybe I could still pass a visual inspection for cats with due to the chamber ). What I’m wondering is what long tube headers anyone has had success bolting up to prochamber and if no one knows about that are MAC longtubes as crappy as I have heard. They are less the half the cost of the bassanis I was going to get so I’m wondering about their fitment, any leaks etc and ease of install. Please money is burning a hole in my pocket but I don’t want to mess this up. 95 GT 5speed

what car is this going on? shorties are probably your best bet anyways and MAC make the best ones on the market right now and then you can add a o/r h-pipe then a catback

Yeah I’m pretty sure I want to go with long tubes at this point just because I have the money and I want to get the whole thing done and not have to go back and add stuff later after other mods. The only reason i would get MAC over bbk or someother brand is i want the prochamber and i know that the p/c would bolt up with the LTs. So are MAC Long tubes crap or are they ok?

how much HP are you kicking out? don't get long tubes if you're going to have under about 500 HP. you'll lose HP stead of gaining them. get unequal shorties becasue equal is a pian in the @$$ to put in casue there's so little room to work with

How much power gain is there with shorties equal and unequal and will those actually perform as well as the others on the way to the 400 hp mark. What I have heard and like about Longtubes is not their peak performance (because that is the same as other styles) but the hp/torque curve is much flatter and gains in the mid rev are much higher. I doubt my car will ever be over 400hp. I will most likely have a H/C/I by the end of summer. So will shorties be just as good for the curve up past 350hp.

between shorties, unequal are sposed to be better or more HP/TQ but i think it's not worth spending hours trying to squeeze them in
and personally i don't know about long tubes but i would think there still wouldn't be much of a difference

ok so just to make sure MAC shorties unequal, o/r prochamber, LM 2 would be a decent package up till over 500hp

and sorry to be a dick with the questions but is ceramic really worth the extra money or is HTS or industrial plated a better idea for MAC.

Get equal length headers. They aren't as bad as most people think. All you have to do is raise the engine about a half inch on the passenger side. I have BBK equal length ceramic headers. They are the best. They sound better than most people than all the shorty headers I have heard. They may cost a little more than shorty's but they are worth it in my opinion. Everyone I have talked to says equal are a tad more trouble, but they are the best.
