Default vibration problems still.

I had another thread, but it went cold...
This is really getting old. I replaced my U-joints, harmonic balancer, engine/tranny mounts, had my driveshaft rebalanced. I replaced my clutch and flywheel with new ones. The clutch was from Autozone and Spec 2 clutch kit. My tensioner is bad, but I can't see that adding vibration. Smog delete.

If I hammer the car it vibrates at about 4,000 rpms and it stays the same til I shift at 5500. If I hammer it in nuetral it revs up fine but when it comes down it shakes and vibrates. If in nuetral I rev it slowly I get a vibration in the lower rpms (like 1,000-1,500 rpms not exact but close).

The balancer WILL ADD VIBRATION. If you have done all of that it sounds like its more internal on you motor and time for a rebuild.

It does have 150k on the clock. I will wait for it to blow...I can't afford a new motor...will try to get a new tranny 1st, but no time soon.

It had the dowels already on it. I noticed some gray plastic piece that was broken. I pulled it from my bellhousing. It is my DD, but I have a Suburban and a LeSabre so I do have other options. The gray plastic piece looked round and smooth on the outside and looked as if something screwed into it, it had internal threads. I didn't see this piece until i looked under my car a couple days ago, I never noticed it when I was reassembling my car.

lost it.

I also forgot to mention that when i removed my driveshaft to take it to the shop I started my car and the vibration was still there. Balancer helped but not the solution.

What is the general consensus on how to narrow down if a vibration is engine, tranny or driveshaft or balancer?
