remove all hoses/ thermactor air bypass valve and diverter valve and cap off vaccum lines to selonoids and plug the gulp valve/check valve that goes on the tube that connects to the back of the heads

you can completely eliminate all of them if you want...the piping that goes to 2 steel pipes (h-pipe and back of heads) you just need to cap off the end coming from the h-pipe, and then plug the 2 holes on the back of the heads w/ "thermactor plugs" they are a threaded insert.

bolts will work too, but have to be right lemgth or it won't seal.

ghetto way is cut the "y" pipe off, flip them around and use rtv...then reinstall on the opposite head...that way the blocked part goes over the hole, and you reuse the mounting bolts

and you can't see them anyways

i did this but on the check valve that connects to the head. i just caped it off with a big bolt,my smogs still there, but i bypassed it and my belt went from a 105 1/2 to a 90.

now should i unbolt the smog and remove the whole pump

I used a 3/4" vacuum cap for the line that goes to the heads. Its easier than a bolt and looks a little cleaners too.
