Default Wheel size

Does anyone know if you can put 9" wheels on te front of a fox body. I got some 17x9's and they hit the strut.

i know alot of people that have 17x9's in the front. i think alot of people pull out the inner fender wells. i think there's somethin else you can do with the steering to, but you wont be able to turn as sharp

I don't really like the 17x9s on the front, in the back their a good size wheel but in the front it's too much tire. It feels harder to turn as opposed to 16x8s in the front. I was thinking on my next car of doing 17x9s in the back and 16x8s in the front with a tiny lowering job in the front, I think that's the best way to go with rims.

What backspacing are you guys running? Mine are 17x9 with a 24mm offset or 6" backspacing. They just barely hit the strut but if the offset were different they would stick out too far and probably rub on the fender.

I just need to know if there is enough clearance to run a 6" backspace up front without hitting the strut. That would be a 24mm offset on a 17x9 wheel

17X9 in front with +28 offset, no rubbing issues at all.
