Default hp loss from no tune

about how much hp and i losing from not tuning my car. i have lots of work inside and out but it idles funny here and there. also i just installed a wet nitrous kit and its obvisouly bad to run it on a untuned engine but will she blow. i'm using small jets.i have a superchip on it but doubt that helps.

The chip could be a bad thing unless it was tuned to work with the nitrous. It changes the spark timing and fuel curves. If your running nitrous you should run some cooler plugs and retard the timing a bit too depending on how mush nitrous you play to run. Tuning is always a good idea after you add something. If its a minor bolt on taking it in for dyno tuning may be overkill, but it couldn't hurt.

i would get it tuned even if you just installed the chip.... now that you have nitrous I WOULD DEF tune it

is it a basic chip ? or custom burned for your car ?

if basic...it just advances timing....so yank it and do it yourself

at MOST....your losing 30 hp, and your not really losing it....your not gaining it by burning a custom chip

5.0 doesn't NEED a tune...it'll do it by itself, but you might tweak another 30 out of it

90% of the time idle/drivability issues are vacuum related

5.0 doesn't NEED a tune...it'll do it by itself.....i know computers tune itself but would it be up to my engines level. then what would be the point of a dyno tune?for extra? and with my idle i checked every line in the engine and everything is wired up right except for my ac lines because i removed it
