Default Advice - 89 GT Exhaust

My entire exhaust system has rusted out and I am in desperate need of getting it replaced. I need some advice on where I can get an entire system - headers back w/ cat's. I have two good flowmaster mufflers, I only need the pipes and cat's. I need to do my best at finding a really good deal...as I am low on $$ due to having a new baby. Can anyone out there in mustang land help me out?

Any help would be appreciated!

Thanks

It is not legal to sell used CATS here in Texas or anywhere as I understand it, but if you find a local junkyard and ask them to call you as soon as they get a car similar to your year and model in to jump on it and pull the entire exhaust system, headers back, and if asked say you are not able to break the nuts loose and pay a little extra incash most places will look the other way.

Otherwise you will need to search around, http://shopmufflers.com/for example....... that or find someone parting out their car and make a offer, in fact a couple post back is a guy parting out a fox that might help you.

Thanks for the feedback - I had no idea that it was illegal to purchase/sell used Cats...good to know! I have looked everywhere and I can't seem to find what I am looking for. Do you or anyone else out there know where I can pick-up JUST the pipes for the exhaust system...say Cat's (x/hpipe) back? I have two flowmaster mufflers already, but I need the pipes...It doesn't appear that flowmaster sells just the pipe themselves.

here are the X and H pipes. You them for shorty headers.

Thanks! Are the stock headers considered shorty headers?

Yes, stockers are shorties. X or H mostly sound difference,h= deeper, x= raspy.
