Backspacing for 17x8 Centerline Scorpions on Stock 1993 GT
Hello,
I have a 1993 stock GT and am looking to invest in some 17x8 Centerline Scorpions to replace the OEM ponies that are on now.
I want to avoid if I can hammering in the wells and adjusting/removing my quads in the back, what is a safe backspacing to go with? 5.5"?
As of now my fox is stock ride height, but I have a set of Eibach springs which proclaim 1.7" drop in front and 1.5" in the back. I am putting the springs on before I order the rims and with the stock wheelsoff see just how much space I am to work with. I'm just herehoping someone has crossed this bridge before myself and can add some much appreciated advice.
I have researched the forum and though it has proven most helpful I am still unable tofind a definite answer to my question.
Also to add, the Scorpions come in a 9.5" wide ver, was thinking aboutslapping those on the back but I'm figuring that would for sure need some kind of modification, better off to be safe andgo with8" all around?
O, Centerlinegave me aprice of 3 bills per wheeldoes that seem steep? I cant seem tofind anywhere else online that offers them..
Thank's in advance!
Sean.
