Not running
Got a problem, on Sat. parked my car and on Mon. morning it would not start.
It is a 5.0 HO in my bird. I thought maybe lack of fuel, has fuel.
It has spark, I checked the ignition module, and had to change that.
It registered bad, but still no start. I put a fuel pressure tester on it, it will jump to 40 lbs when you try to start it, but not starting. After you let it sit for a bit, it will lose the fuel pressure. I am wondering if that might be my problem. Maybe pump, injector, I dont know am at a loss. Any suggestions or help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks

RE: Not running
Stuck a bolt in the spark plug wire and held it close to the header and got spark, I did forget to mention I tried a different cap and rotor off a different motor that ran when taken out and did not make a difference.

RE: Not running
you methood of checking for spark is seriously flawed...that won't tell you if you have adequate spark ...spray some ether in the throttle body and see if it'll fire up briefly..if it does it's a fuel issue....you need a used spark plug or inline checker to adequately see strength of spark and you need to check for injector pulse too..via a noid light

RE: Not running
Did you pull the plugs to see if they were fuel soaked? Not sure if this will help but remove the vacuum line from the FPR. Also as mjr46 said try spraying some starting fluid in the intakeand cranks the engine.
About a year ago my youngest brother stopped by on the way home from work, no problems, hour later car would not start without ether..... long story short his temp sensor failed and the ECU was flooding the engine for the cold start/ not sure if this would apply to your car but sometimes it is the smallest thing.
