well im trying to find out if i just put a mexican block in my car.

story is:

One of my friends aunts gave me her ex husbands 1991 Mustang LX that was gutted(used to be a 4 cyl), A 302 block with c4 tranny connected to it, and lastly a ford bb 460. All for free. Well its been a year or so and I finally am making the right moves the engine and trannys in the car noticing its a mad old engine I asked my friend wtf it came from, his response:
I dunno dude it was my parah's it came out of a older mustang and it used to lift the wheels off the ground. Im pretty sure it has a cam and some other stuff.
So now imma be rocking a miracle motor that runs on magic, it has some odd offen hauser intake that its currently sporting, the heads were cleaner then my house, i can spin it over. Its all been luck so far.

Nevermind it is a Mexican block.

now are waterpumps interchangable because its looking like i will have to drill the pulley my friend gave me and the ac bracket will only be using two bolts but i now think i can just use alt water pump and balancer so **** it.

things left to do before trying to crank the car:
Rebuild some old *** holley carb
put in some new plugs
wire the msd box
and yea thats it

i geuss i will update this thread with my journey untill my 5.0 is pretty solid.

Yea it was a 4x4 it sagged alot with the engine in it though.

thinking ahead- I have a MSD 6A, How do i wire the distributor or whatever trigger. I don't know what to hook the white or violet/green wires up to. I have a dizzy with one wire coming off of it, and a vaccum looking thing, do i hook the white up to that single wire?

wow u werent kidding when u said gutted.
i say you take advantage and clean any rust from the inside of the car and paint the inside, paint the engine bay, then paint the body. this lx looks very straight and will be good for whatever u decide to run it with

i dont know why i posted three times lol i was in a wierd state of mind yest.
the post started out as a question then i answered it with research, then became a progress thread, and asked another question on my ignition.

so does anyone know what works im geussing the white wire from the msd box hooks up the the black wire on the dizzy, right?
