Default Temp guage out of order?

95GT-It just hit me that the temp gauge on the dash doesn't work all the time. I usually do not pay attention to it anymore cause it hasn't worked for years. Every now and then I will catch it working and once I actually caught it turn on when I shut the drivers door! I was told there are two coolant temp sensors on the car, one of them goes to the computer, and the other to the dash. The one going to the computer(which is the one in the very front of the engine just behind the upper radiator hose)is working just fine(verified with datalog). SO I assume it could be this other sensor or some sort of bad connection somewhere? Anyone ever have this problem before or seen it? Suggestions?

Where is this other mystery sensor?

I drew it free hand..............

From time to time I work in my grandpa and uncles shop, they have a program called AllData, pretty nifty, anyway I still have a account to look up some stuff since some parts are cheaper here than there.
