Default installed clutch. Now have loud squeaking

I just finished installing my centerforce dual friction clutch and release bearing and now i have a loud squeaking coming from the the bellhousing.Took cover offwhere the cable attaches to the clutch fork, if i put my hand on the fork the squeaking stops as well as when i put my foot on the clutch.Could i have gotten a bad release bearing. What else could i check?

Did you grease the bearing and replace the pilot bearing as well? Can you add a small amount of tension to the cable to stop the noise? How is the drive-ability, notice anything on the test run?

On top of that and you could have gotten a defective t/o bearing. What brand did you get?

Sounds like exactly the problem that occurs when the throwout bearing is bad.

Yep i greased the bearing. No i didnt replace the pilot bearing. The clutch felt super lite on the test run.I had about 1-2 inchs of freeplay in the clutch pedal, untillI adjusted the firewall adjuster and lost all of my free play, and the pedal is a bit stiffer to.Ya i can put a lil tension on the cable and it stops. But the cable is already pretty tight already.

Sorry guess its not a common term, but the shaft to the flywheel. Just curious if a bent shaft could be hitting the bearing and when putting pressure on the fork if it evens out.
