Default Bronco?

Will a 1990 5.0 Liter engine work in an 1987 Bronco?

I think it will... but You have to swap out an engine harness and computer... maybe not?

87 Broncos with 302 came fuel injected just the first thing that came to my head for doing the swap for compatibility of Computer. if the 87 came with 351, or I6 you would have to think about that.
