What does the air silencer in the 5.0's look like, and how much power would it free up if i werer to remove it. I think i still have one on mine but not for sure. Anybody got a picture of one?????

your stock air filter box attaches to it , you have to remove the air filter box to get at the silencer. Itis mounted to the inside of the fender and isheld on with a couple of bolts, been many years ago since I removed mine butI think thatis how it is done. Youre not going to gain much HP 2 or 3 the most but does make for a better intake sound.

Mine sounded better w/ silencer removed thanwith theMac CAI I installed later on.

Youll know if its there or not just by looking up inside the fender under the car where the air filter is. Nothing there? Then you dont have a silencer. You may be able to peek behind the passenger side headlight assembly and see part of it.
