Not sure if yours is different, but on my engine I left the water temp sending unit in for the computer, but there was a port on the heater line above the thermostat that I threaded into for the gauge. The oil pressure sending unit is next to the oil filter. I just spliced into a 12v wire for my voltmeter, didn't seem to hurt anything. You may wanna be careful with that, though...

if you have factory gauges there is a sender already there for your new gauge. there is one water temp sender for the ecu and one for gauge. oil pressure sender is near the oil filter, and for the voltmeter you can splice into pretty much anything that is on when the car is on and it will read your volts. you may want to change the senders to the ones the gauge manufacturer makes. when i did mine i just followed the factory wires and used those for my new gauges, so my factory gauges dont work now.

Yeah, the aftermarket gauges usually do not read right with the factory sending units.

I always use mechaincal gauges anyway.
