exhaust leak!!

Default exhaust leak!!

hey guys i just changed my exhaust put x pipe without converters and where it meets the headers there is a exhaust leak from hell it is tighnted down no broken studs the ends of the x pipe swallowed the stock headers would replacing the shorty headers with some aftermarket bbks fix this issue any help would be great learning about exhaust the hard way

I had to take a 2X4 and pry the mid pipe then tighten the bolts, a common problem

i did it with a impact and tighten them evenly maybe ill try that

also the stock header sockets are designed for a 2 1/4 set up if you have a 2 1/2 set up the socoets will be a little bigger and make seal a little more difficult......I'd put a good set of headers on irregardless as stock headers are restrictive
