Well there is different ways to tighten them, different people have different techniques. I followed the instructions that crane provided to tighten mine and they work like a charm. YOu have to get the right preloads in order for everything to work properly. Therefore you start working on the #1 piston when its at TDC on the compression stroke you set your torque wrench to I think 20ft Lb of torque. Snug the bolt Up ( Finger TIght). Start tightening the bolt and your the wrench shoudl not go over 2 complet turns( Ithink) then the proper preload should be set. update I found out why my rockers were so loud.

when I installed my rockers I didn't make sure the flat part was on top where you put the bolt in, and I broke 6-7 of those things that hold up the rocker.
so the rockers were lower than they should,
anyways, I put the stock 1.6 rockers back on, and it runs good, for about 5 minutes then my power steering seized.
damn, its just one thing after another.
