Default Engine won't stay on

Hello all, I'm new to the site and need help. I have a 1986 mustang GT Convertible. Recently I switched it over to a carburater and put long tube headers on it. The car runs and sounds great, the problem is that it shuts off after about 20 mins. Something is getting to hot obviously but I have no idea what. It take about 8 hrs for it to start again after it cools off. Please advise if you can. Thanks

Just a shot out of left field here so put as much stock in it as that, but when you installed the new carb and long tube headers did you move any fuel lines. Had a problemlike that years ago and the cause was excessive heat to close to a fuel line was causing a situation simillar to vapour lock in the fuel lines.
