Default little shake to the motor

ever since i put the new motor in my its had a little shake to it. Timing is set, new plugs, wires, and coil and cap and rotor. So i just wanted to know if anyone else has this with there motor. it just a slight shake. i was told possible bad motor mount also told its a normal on an older ford to have a rough idel. other than that it runs good. just wanted to know if that is normal.

a little shake is normal...stock cam?? or performance one?? but if you left a vaccum line off somewhere that'll cause a shake too

all vac lines are good. stock cam. just put in a brandnew stock motor. it was siting for a while (since 91) but runs good lol. jw bc its such a minor shake. little things like that always drive me nuts. heres another question for ya. I put my fuel filter and when i took my old one out i forgot to check and see which way the arrow was going. my question is....if it was in backwards the car wouldnt run...right[:'(]

It won't filter properly but it still should run as you can blow through it either way...irregardless you need to check it and correct issue to trap the impurities in the fuel like small crap in all gas tanks

As far as the shaking.... Use your best judgement... a little shake is normalI mean its a motor with constant controlled explosions going off in the chamber...just as long its not jumping out threw the hood

Mine has a little shake too. Always has. And nothing I've done to remedythe shakehas had the slightest effect on it. It seems worse when the motor is cold, and barely noticeable when it's warmed up.

the harmonic balancer? hmmmm.....anybody else think it is the harmonic balancer. why would it be the harmonic balancer... it is possible i guess but then wouldnt that through off weight of the crank and wipe out the bearings bc it isnt spinnging balanced?
