Default Master Cylinder Question

Hi,

So I will be converting my '83 over to a Cobra brake setup in the next month or so. I bought most of the parts back in December including an NOS '93 Cobra Master. I think from what I've been reading that the Master Cylinder on my car has STD threads while 87+ masters have metric. Is this the case? It looks like I will need an '85 town car unit. This is confirmed at sn95brakes.com, but when I emailed them few months back they said that the '93 would work. So I'm kind of lost, anyone with a pre '87 done the conversion before? I want to email sn95brakes.com again but the link to their email address is not working.

Any help would be great,

Brian
