whiney fuel pump?
saw in a thread on here that a whiney fuel pump isa sign that it may be close to giving up the ghost...
when I turn my car onto "ON" I hear the pump kick on, as usual, but when the car is running I can hear it whining when I am outside of it near the rear of the car. as far as I know its a stock pump.
when I had codes pulled a whileago, the fuel pump code came up on the scanner...
but the car has been running rather good, despite the occasional idle issue, pulls hard etc....
just looking for some input
what kindo of walbro pump should I look for if it does in fact go out on me? I know they have different liters per hour numbers etc....

RE: whiney fuel pump?
I just noticed this today. I thought it was because I have the rear bumber off at the moment for paint so which makes the noise travel easier. lol So this means it's going to crap out soon? I haven't looked yet but how much work involved in this? I haven't actually driven my car yet on the road besides messing around in my driveway so I don't know if cuts out on me while driving.

If its whining like a moaning almost, then its probably on its way out. Its worth buying. You can get a walbro 255 for like $130. When mine really started getting bad it would make my car buck and stall at lights. Worth the upgrade i would say.
