Default First inexpensive mod

Thinking about which one to go with since money doesn't come easy. I was going to get an intake manifold but for $600 to $700 I can get a few different things.

So I've learned from reading here I can get 373 gears for like $180.
Steeda short shift for $170
Advance timing for free.
Egr plate maybe $60
Cat back exhaust possibly mac for 300 to 400.

Am I going in the right direction? Advise from others would be helpful Thanks.

gear for sure is a way to go, exhaust another good road to go, timing ahh its ok i run mine an 14 def most run 12, egr plate not ness, shorth throw shifter really does nothing for the car ( besides the shorter faster shifts ) i would get a cold air system first, exhaust, bump the timing alittle bit, that will run ya bout 300-400 there for good stuff, then, the gears dont for get to get the install kit too, even thou you may not have to pull the axles you still should and replace everything, that will run ya about 200 for the gears and 100 or so for the install kit and the price for the garage to install them, so there your lookin at 700-1000 bucks right there that was better spent than slaping an upper and lower intake on..Just a word of advice, if your going to be taking the intake off do it right do your heads too and mind as well do a cam too, your going to be there anyways....there is no sense of puttin a performance upper and lower on if you cant get the air out of the engine....IMO

gears, plus install and misc parts will get you to about your price cap anyway
and dont do cold air, just remove silencer and get a k&nfilter if you are on a budget

electric fan will help cool a bit better but will also removed load from the engine since it runs off electricity and not crank power

I did my electric fan and Cold air intake at the same time and felt a difference. I am pretty sure it was the fan that made me feel the difference

I already have a BBK cold air and flowmaster mufflers only. I'm probably going to get gears either 373 or 390s. I have a guy that'll put the gears in for me so no prob there. Thanks everyone!
