Default hp #'s ?

alright i took the stang to the dyno today and was kinda upset with the numbers here is what i have

95 5.0 t-56 6speed
stock 302 bottom end freshened up
svo aluminum heads (same as gt-40x)
1.60 rr
steeda #19 cam
typhoon intake
70mm tb
75 mm mass air calibrated for #24 inj
#24 injectors
chrome bbk longtubes
off road h-pipe
mac catback
upr cai
fuel pressure is at 41
timing at 16 base
stock computer with NO tune

it put down 262 hp and 285 torque at the wheels does this sound right?

set your fuel pressure to 39 psi. timing to 14*, give the motor some time to break in.

u should be makin about 10-15 more horse, but for the most part it is correct, u need a new intake and it will get ya about 25 more horse with elderbrock or holley

motor is broke in i had it in my previous fox car before i sold it. never dynoed in the fox car though. they typhoon is the same as the edlebrock performer.

There's nothing wrong w/ his intake. It's a Eddy knock off. A lot of ppl run them including myself.

Agreed, there are some port matching to do , that are left out and thats really about at.


Id check that A/F ratio and set the timing lower to 14*, 14-15 is what ive found the sn style likes.

I bet your running somewhat rich, not to the point of smoke, but power loss

The typhoon is similar to the edelbrock but it is not the same thing. Also the numbers sound about right. You dont have a very good cam for your combo. You should be right around 270-275rwhp with a better intake, those heads and an E cam. So your numbers sound right for what you have. I would go with the TFS2 cam though and a Tmoss ported cobra intake

seems low to me as well...i would have guessed 285 or so to the wheels, thats close to what i'm doing and also expecting.

you could pick it up w/ a custom burn though.....but if you wanna pay $$$$$
