i was thinkin about goin nitrous and these guys are telling you exactly what some of my buddies that run pro street tell me.One of their buddies runs a 200 shot with eagle rods and thats it and hes been fine. Like they said though dont go lean. Wet kits are definatly a better investment over a dry kit IMO.If you have the money go with a zex that has a automatic nitrous cutoff if it see your running to lean.If you do blow it up live and learn find out what you did wrong and go from there hahaha.
ZEX is a great beginner kit, but ya won't get the big #'s like from other kits (IE TNT, NX, NOS).

+1 on the zex myths...not a bad kit per say...but i won't use them again
1st off, any kit can use a fp safety switch, and zex kits DO NOT come w/ them, or at least they didn't used to, i used a zex kit on my '90 vert, it was ok, but the "box" is a double edged sword.

it's ease of install...is also a PITA for rebuilding the selonoids etc. also...the selonoids are kinda small for wht they should be, so it fits in a smaller box.

any leak in that box....good luck...

+1 don't be greedy

i actually prefer dry kits to be honest, on my third w/ not a single problem, 1 zex and 2 NOS 5115's , but i always squirt 75-100 only

for me to go wet...it would be a real plate kit (not a tb plate or nozzle kit) or direct port. direct port kits are about $1200, i might go w/ the gt40 plate big shot later on though, we'll see.

wet nozzle or tb plate is pretty much safe, but putting fuel mixed w/ nitrous into an intake designed to flow air (rough casting will make the fuel puddle even at hi rpms) is not for me.

i love nitrous...but i feel no need to take that chance. i want it to be as simple as possible

+1 you won't regret it ... too much fun

Nitrous Bobs first reply is exactly right. Most people that want to voice their opinion have never even had experience with wat they are talking about. Dont believe everything you hear.

I run 175 shot, granted i have forged crank pistons, rods, I absolutely love it. Its very cost effective, and when you hook it all up correct, retard the timing, tune it safe, (NOT LEAN) you WONT have many problems except the traction when you hit the giggle juice!!! I like to think of nitrous as the reallly hott girl with a std! You really really want it, but your scarred of the consiquences! Only difference is nitrous is better than the hot girl! +1 for the juice
