Default smog stuff

so i'm in the process of rebuilding my motor with what i consider huge mods $3000 already, and i know more will come. n e ways i want to get rid of the smog pump and smogstuff all together. i know i'll run a shorter belt. will i have a cel light come on wheni take this stuff off. i won't need to pass an emmisions. what exactly do i do.

this is what i think i do.

close the holes on the back side of the heads. (how)
leave all smog stuff off including the pipe that runs down to the exhaust. (what do i close that off with?)

i know i've missed things.

do i still need egr spacer?
thanks

i made plates for the back of my heads that block it off, it was easy. if you dont need to pass emissions the pipe runnin down to the h-pipe is simple. spend 150 bucks for an off road h-pipe, it doesnt have any cats and your car sounds alot meaner. your gonna need the egr still (i think) i have a cobra intake, so there isnt an egr plate.

There guys on here that will argue the egr delete. you dont gain anything or lose anything. it does clean up your engine bay though. like above i made plates to block of the holes in my heads also. I yanked out the smog pump, air bypass and diverter valves, all the hoses and tubing and yanked the tube off(cut it off) my h-pipe and just shoved hose with a bolt in it to plug it off. I got no CEL when i yanked all my crap off. Make sure to plug your vaccum hoses off with some caps, buy them at the nearest auto parts store. Very easy job, looks a lot nicer also. Your belt size will fluctuate from others on here. Grab some string and run the route of you belt, mark it, measure it and go buy a few belts that are close to that, and take the others back that dont work. Sorry if im maken anyone sound stupid, just tryen to make it easy as possible.

also, for the egr if you delete it, i made an aluminum plate also for that. If you have any trouble after disconnecting the egr, pull of the sensor from the egr itself and plug it back into the egr harness.
