if it doesn't have one at the front then you'll never be able to drain the dirty oil in there...is it the exact same one ??? but without a second drain plug
id suggest trying to fix the origonal. regular part stores sell this special goo stuff that acts like a clot for drain plugs with messed up threads or leaks and seals them.

i had a HUGE crack rusty and draining oil like no other on my truck and i cleaned it up and put a nice coat of jbweld over everything and its dry as a bone
new oil pan
