Default Hesitation when its running cold, maybe air filter?

whenever I start my car up and the engine is cold it has no power between 2000rpms and 3000rpms. When I give it gas and push it towards WOT it pushes through the rpm band but with little power and then kicks in at 3000rpms+ almost feeling like a kick in the ***. I took apart the bbk CAI and stock MAF and checked in it and seemed clean and then pulled the air filter out which was $h!t black and seemed really dirty.

I was thinking that a K&N fliter is my solution, maybe because my air filter is so dirty and clogged that the engine is not getting enough air but it runs fine after its been running for awhile, could this be because the engine needs less air after its warm? Any help for me would be fine this has really been pissin me off, thanks.

definatly try a new filter. if its almost like the engines bogging down the timing could be off. it could also bea bad thermostat as well

when your car is cold its gunna do this. its running on open loop so its gunna be running richer than normal till it warms up. it you are going WOT before your car warms up your an idiot. for one its a waste of fuel. 2 nothing has expanded yet your probably slamming your pistons into the cylinder walls. wait till your reach operating temp before you start punching it.

Let it warm up before you beat on it.
