Default 55mm to a 70mm Mass air meter

I recently got a 70mm Mass air meter from a 1993 cobra thru ebay,a nice unit to install in my 1992 GT 5.0,a bolt on procedure. The mass air meter is supposed to have been calibrated for 19lb and 24lb injectors, when I first start the car, its a rough idle then it smoothes out, when I rev it,sounds like varoooooom hiccup,I tried adjusting the timing, nothing [sm=smiley6.gif]. Hellllp! All suggestions greatly appreciated. [sm=hiya.gif]

You need to get the right MAF meter that is calibrated to 19# injectors, not 24# as are the Cobras.

You bought the wrong meter my friend.

just use your stock meter, take it out of the old housing, and put it in the cobra one,
btw, did you get it from sm1993svtblk?

yea there is, its called buying 24 lb injectors, or taking the MAF off and putting the stock one back on.

I'm not blaming the seller, you just didn't do enough research when you bought your item, ie, getting a MAF sensor for 24# injectors when you have 19# injectors.

Hey,game ain't over so I switch to 24#.Easier than recalibrating the MAF for 19#?[sm=insomnia.gif]

Injectors aren't cheap. Not to mention we have 8 to get.
