so theres this weird sound coming out of the middle a/c vents. it comes from time to time but only when i turn on the car. the sound (if it comes on) starts even when i just turn the ignition but with the engine off i dont see any difference in performance its just annoying because sometimes it can be louder than my radio. and the sound is like a weird clicking noise combined with a high squeal any ideas?

If it were me i would just turn up the radio more! lol Idk what that could be but it probably isnt good...

I get a similar noise in my Grand Am.... I traced it back to a combination of the blower and the connection of the center vent..... I kick the blower to shut it up and pound the dash a little for the vent.... good luck.

maybe its a rat or somthing crawling and around lol or maybe when u turn the ac on it goes crazy saying **** its cold not and trying to get out lol

it makes noise whenever it wants too and i dont use the ac muchj so i dont think its that

Determine if it happens only when the blower on. If that's the case it's probably your blower motor. They will start to squeal with age. Also determine if it only happens with the ac blowing and not the heat.

how will i be able to check if it goes on only when the blower is on? and as forit going on when the ac or heat is on it doesnt matter it goes on whenever it wants if ac or heat is on or off

the blower motor may have something caught in it and or going bad
