Perhaps you might check the TPS voltage from idle to WOT. There could be a bad spot in the rheostat causing the ECM to to stupid stuff.
Also, you might remove the EGR valve and make sure it isn't stuck open some from carbon build-up.
Have you checked actual fuel pressure to see what you have? A bad check valve in the pump will cause all of the fuel to bleed back into the tank and then require repriming the system to build pressure again.
Like you said, it is hard to diagnose things sometimes without seeing the car.

the voltage is .997 VDC at idle and is smooth all the way out to WOT. ill have to look at the EGR valve this weekend, but last time it was off (about a month or so ago when i put new manifold gaskets on) it was fine.
as for the fuel issue, the pressure is 40-42psi with the vacuum line off. Aeromotive adjustable FPR. it holds that for about 5-7 mins after i shut it off before it starts to bleed off. anything after that i have to cycle the key on and off again to build the pressure back before i can start it. and if i shut if for a only a few minutes, like going in to buy and drink or Subway, etc. when i start it again it stumbles really bad for a few seconds and sometimes stalls. if it doesnt stall it revs up a little bit (~1200rpm) and then idles fine. someone told me the pressure might be dropping off and the fuel is starting to boil, which makes sense i think. also, another oddity, the car seems to run a lot better when the vacuum line for the FPR is off. (Whisket Tango Foxtrot?)
would the car run allright with an EGR delete? i havent been able to get a straight answer about this.
thanks a lot fot the input though; it seems whenever i get one thing sorted out, something else just HAS to happen. Murphy is hard at work here...[sm=headbang.gif]

Your pump is bleeding off too fast, so it is going to need replacing. The check valve in it is bad. My Windstar did the same thing.
Trickflow has better pumps for a good price @ Summit Racing. I'm going to go 155lph in mine when I replace it.
My 88 ran fine with the EGR vacuum line unhooked for a long time, but I know the 94-95 ECM is much more user unfriendly when it comes to mods, so I can not say for sure on yours either.

I am guessing that you have cleaned the MAF? I can't remember if you said or not.

yea i would replace the pump and also have you checked the filter? i would start with the filter first as if it is clogged it wont let fuel get to the rails which would be y you have to cycle the key. my pressure drops to 0 almost instantly when i kill the car but the pump is new, and i dont have any probs. im havin a similar problem with my 95 but am coming up with a maf sensor code. im gonna look into it tomorrow.
