Default How to get the steering column out?!?!?

I have the column dropped all connections off and I have the bolt by the firewall out but it seems to be seized together there is not enough room to hit it with a hammer I could just barely get the wd40 on it. It does not want to slide out at all I pulled with all I had but am afraid of hurting the rack and I really don't want to do that. Does anyone have any good suggestions please I am so close to getting this car on the road.
Thanks, any input would be appreciated.

I have everything disconnected but I cannot get the shaft to slide out from the column shaft. theres a shaft inserted into a shaft right by the firewall right before the first U-joint. I Am looking for suggestions to unseize these shafts they are rusted together I think.

I can't unbolt it from the rack because I have to fit it through the boot in the firewall. I have all the nessesary bolts off but the two shafts up higher are stuck together really good. Does anyone have a solution to get these apart?

mine was tight also .. you just have to get that wd40 in there and let it sit .. if you use the lil red straw with the wd 40 you should be able to angle it so you can spray the shaft .. thats the only way unless you unbolt the knuckle .. it also helps to have one person in the car and one in the engine bay ....and if you decide to unbolt the knuckle it should slide through the boot is only rubber ..
