IF the 80mm unit is properly calibrated for your 24's AND your ecu, then it will work well for you.

i'd get a C&L that was calibrated for your 24# injectors and was a fit for your ecu. junk here will plague you forever! some MAF's can be recalibrated for differens injectors. i think pro-m is one of them. call and ask. it would be cheaper.

You're right, it can be recalibrated. In case anyone else has this problem and searches this thread, the link to send in your meter is

http://www.promracing.com/recalibrations.htm

they also calibrate the stock ones

When you see this...
80mm MAF 87/04 Mass Air Meter Sensor Mustang Cobra 5.0
a red flag should go up...

1987 and 2004 MAF meters are not interchangeable.
1987???

Generally speaking ebay is a crappy place to buy a MAF meter, unless you know EXACTLY what to look for... by Ford part number.

You are looking for an aftermarket MAF meter, not a stock Ford unit.
There aren't any Ford meters that will work with the 24's...

Look into...
Abaco (may not be on the market yet)
ProM
PMAS
C&L

All of these meters can be 'recalibrated' if you decide to change the injector size later. The cost will vary for this though, as each company 'calibrates' differently.

Nope...... like Jason said, no OEM MAF units were "calibrated" to a specific injector size.

Are you running an A9*?
What sensor is on the MAF housing?
Verify the Housing diameter?

Assuming you have the parts you claim to have,

You may not know it, but you DOhave problems...

Get a wideband O2 sensor on the car, and see what the AFR is...
