Input bearing retainer Qs
I was looking at my tranny and I noticed some very small play and the retainer says gwarner omotive is this a Ford company or is this newer?
The bearing looked new and spun freely when I removed the retainer, my question is can I add another or put a thicker shim in to take up the slack? The race says Timken then has what looks to be a serial number.
How do I know how much to shim it?
When you remove the retainer and see the gears are they any indicator as to the condition of the tranny?
