Default over heating problems

Ok i am having problems with my car. it keeps on getting to the "A" and the "L" on the dash temp guage. I have replaced the water pump and went from a 195 thermastat to a 180 thermastat or how ever you spell it and i got new hoses and new radiator fluid but it still over heats, then i tried radiator flush and that didn't help either. what should i do?

Make sure there are no air bubble in your coolant lines and hoses. Air does not conduct heat as well as water. LS1s have this problem very bad. If they don't pull all the air out then their heads can get so hot they glow.

Try bleeding the system. That should help alot. Besides your car is not overheating either. The temp around "A" and "L" is normal. Just like the guages said. It is a little hot bu nothing that can cause serious damage. Mine does that too...but then shoots down when driving.

if it is in the normal range what makes you think it's overheating exactly?...

Yeah, getting to the "a" is fine as long as you don't hit the red zone. That's not overheating.
Look into a manual fan control if you are worried about it.
Me, I run my AC on real hot days and it never goes above the "o" (I am guessing the AC forces the engine fan to run constantly).

Well see the thing is that i dont have a red zone it just says normal and has two bars at the end and that is it. and i would get a real guage but i dont have to the money. and i think that it is the fan clutch because i just now got home from work and i hear a noise and it sounded like a screaching noise so i got out with the car running and it sounded like it was comeing from the fan clutch and so i got out my wooden stick and started listening to things and that was it. can you just buy a fan clutch or would it just be better to buy a whole new fan assembly?

rev the car and watch the fan if the clutch is bad then the fan won't speed up or it will do it slowly..also look for oil on the clutch
