i would tighten it through the firewall adjuster
he'd have to buy an adjuster tho first...and install it...because stock, they are unadjustable. but to the OP, congradulations..u drove a mustang haha..seriously tho..they're built ford tough...they can take a f*kin and keep on truckin.
Inside of the firewall.

I wouldn't worry, people drive their cars harder than that all the time. I know from my experience if i think I messed something up and hear a noise i and don't think it was there before just because i wasnt listening for it, when really it was there all along. T5s are not the strongest tranny but they can still take a decent amount of hard driving. Don't think anything of it unless the noise gets louder in the future. until that heppens, if it does, just enjoy it.

to see if it is the throw out bearing...rest your foot on the clutch pedal a little...if making it contact stops the sound. thats probably it, don't sweat it

Thanks everyone! The everyone's made me feel alot better about it. I'm not even really worried about it anymore. I'm just gonna monitor it to make sure it's doesn't get any worse. And nitrous_bob, i'll try that next time I go for a drive and let you know what happens.

THANKS!

Yea i wouldnt worry about. I am assuming you have the basic T-5 apose to the world class. I have my factory 1983 T-5 non worldclass and it still works fine behind 400hp.

you only have to start worriying if the gears start whining real loud.
5.0's love the abuse, givver hell, drive it like it should be driven.
you'll be surprised on what they can take before crapping out. if properly maintained and serviced of course

all t5's from 1895 and newer on 5.0's were world class.

i hear alot of people think they are getting a much better tranny when they "upgrade" their '89 t5 to a world class. simply not the case...not that might not need it freshened up, but probbaly wasting $500+

^^^HAHA!!! I caught that as soon as I read it and cracked up. Gave me a good laugh. Well, I drove the car and swear I didn't hear anything. I heard an ongoing rattling but I found a loose nut on my cb mic. to be the culpret of that. She's runnin fine though!(Knock on wood, lol)

Force4- Thats crazy! My buddies WC T-5 has damn near killed his T-5(blew the synchros, all but 5th whine like crazy, over heats) just behind his 310 puttin outabout 360hp. He drove it pretty generously too.
