Default kind of a weird, mabye ignorant, question

a little while back, my ecu went out on my 94 GT

the only ecu that i could find for a decent price was out of a 95 cobra, so thats what i used. i was told the only thing that would mabye change was the air/fuel ratio

i was just browsing another thread and this guy had a question about a mass airflow sensor that said that it was only calibrated for cobras

so, my question is, when i get a new mas for the 24# injectors im getting, do i need to get one for a cobra or just a regular gt

thanks in advance

I would think that a regular GT maf and your cobra ecu would work fine with 24lb injectors, thats how the Cobras are.

the calibration and I use this term loosely ....for 24 lb injectors on the cobra is all in the ecm the maf shouldn't matter..as onyx said it's in the ecu not the maf as that's the way the sn-95 cobras are

So if I need a MAF for my SN95 I should just pick one up for a GT? I don't have to get one for a Cobra?

They use the same MAF but I don't know if they are the same part # or not (you never know with these things). Since they use the same MAF, the Cobra has to make some sort of compensation for the 24lb injectors vs. the GT's 19lb so the ECU takes care of that.
