I have a couple questions on injectors and mass air. I have a 90 LX with a 5.0. Cobra intake, larger mass air meter, cold air, K&N, AOD with shift kit, BBK short headers, H pipe, underdrive pulleys, flowmasters and 4:10 gears. My question is with the Cobra intake do I need a larger mass air and injectors? My mass air meter is bigger but don`t know what size or how to figure what size it is. My injectors are orange, is that stock? Also, would a superchip in my computer help me that much on performance with the mods I have? Any help would be great!

Orange injectors are the 19's which are stock. Blue are 24's. Dont worry about injectors until u get a set of heads and a cam. Find out what size ur MAF is!. What size is ur t/b? Remember, MAF is always supposed to be bigger than the t/b. (ie:65t/b-70MAF.....70t/b-75MAF) and so on. Ur MAF is fine if its bigger than 55mm. Wait on the superchip until u get some heads and/or cam. If ur not gunna do a head and cam kit, go ahead and get one.....But without the bigger mods like heads, ur gunna be dissapointed.

Well, I know its a larger MAF, but how do you tell what size it is? Does it say somewhere? Also, same thing on the T/B How do you tell? Last, what size of t/b and MAF should I be running with the Cobra intake and mods I listed above? I just want the best combination with the mods I have.

measure the smallest diameter of the meter inside.
make sure you measure it in milimeters and then you'll know.

"Sliver" said it. And as for the t/b size....65mm t/b and 70-75mm MAF should be good. But to REALLY feel those mods u should wait till u get heads or cam. But that setup is okay for u. Also, a bigger t/b is USELESS without the larger MAF.

Thanks for the info. The car runs pretty good for what is done and it`s my driver so I don`t want to get to crazy. I will measure the t/b and MAF. I`m guessing the t/b is stock and the MAF is slightly bigger. With the addition of the Cobra intake who knows what the old owner changed. Is there a difference in the stock t/b and the t/b for a Cobra? Thanks, again.

youre not going crazy by getting a bigger MAF and TB. those are the two most important intake mods and actually help the engine breathe. i have a 70mm TB and 73mm MAF, great combo.
