31 spine vs. stock spline.

I notice there alot of people who get higher spline axles and i was wondering what the difference in the 2 are.. and if i decided to upgrade what else would i have to change?

The diff. And bearing and seals and you would have to readjust it in the housing. The difference is that they are stronger and thats pretty much it.
