Default Need help for 347 stroker??????????

Hi
I am new in this forum, and I have budget around 1000$ for stroker kit. the car is daily driver and steer/drag.
Which kit do u advice me to buy?I am looking for 400-450 rwhp.I haveBBK LT headers with flowmaster 40 series, stock trans AOD, ram air, flowtech intake. Will the trans handle the power for few months?

Thx

i dont know how good the quality is but coast high performance sells a probe347 kit with a cast stell crank, 4340 forged i beam rods and forged probe pistons. i think they had a deal for like 950. im not sure about their cranks and rods but i know probe has a pretty good reputation for pistons. but your going to need one heck of a top end to put 400 or 450 to the ground. at the crank wouldnt be to hard but to get that much at the wheels will be tough. but you could do it. it will just be expensive.

I got mine from ADPerformance with forged pistons, forged I-beams, and a cast crank for about $950. But $1000 will not be nearly enough. You have to factor in balancing, machine work on the block, gaskets. Then there is reliablity to think of such as new oil pump, new harmonic balancer, new flywheel (depending on the balancing weight you choose). So $1000 will buy you a kit but you won't be able to use it without more money.

Just some things to think about.

Also I doubt you'll get 400hp unless you get a nice cam maybe custom which will set you back another $500. Then some aluminium heads. Sorry to bring you down. but these are things that I learned when I did mine. I had a budget of $5000 (which included suspension also) and I still went over.

yea i just kind of assumed that he just meant 1000 for just the stroker kit. it will cost you a good couple thousand for top end pieces and machine work and supporting mods.

If it's the stroker kit you're looking for, check these alternatives .... LMK
