Default Crate engine problems!!!

Okay, so i installed the crate engine over a week an a half ago and i still got the same problems. So here it is: 1)The brakes feel almost non-exsistent (extremly stiff) 2) It doesnt idle. And when it almost does, it dies instantly. So that means i have very low vaccum, right?. So i took it to a mustang shop and they said the codes all suggest that there is something wrong with my MAF...which can cause vaccum problems, right? I bought it from summitracing.com. Its the Granatelli 75mm, 24lb, Cold air tuned MAF. I have the 24 injectors and everything so the MAF has to be bad, right?. Im returning the MAF and hopefully the new one will be my answer. Im going crazy with this and i need some help with my situation.

Granatelli Maf's SUCK! I have been told to stay far, far away from them. The shop that I deal with sold them for a little while but they stopped because alot of the customers were having problems with them.

start the car and spray carb cleaner on all the vacuum hose ends, and on the seem between the upper to lower intake, listen for the idle to react if there is a vacuum leak the carb cleaner will be sucked in and make the idle raise. do you have a really aggressive cam case that can caue you to lose your power brakes to, and make sure your timing is set correctly.
