Default 347 Stroker Carbed instead of EFI

After much debate and another thread I have decided to go with a intake/carb instead of the EFI. This way I will save the conversion kit to MAF and a aftermarket efi intake and larger injectors. My thought is to go carbed and switch back to efi in a year or 2 if the desire is there. What would be a good setup to go on the 347 to you guys reading this? It is all eagle forged inside the block with ford racing F-cam. Dont know whatelse you would need to know to help comment on intake and carb setup so let me know what more to let you in on to help me out. Thanks guys!!

One needs to know the cylinder heads you are using as well, along with exhaust pieces to help you.

I prefer EFI, but to each, their own...

Our camaro has the original Carb from 1986 dialed in so well, it starts the instant you engage the starter.

Clean emmisions as well.

1.Good seals for no internal leaks, clean and proper jets, good accelerator pump, adjusted and free moving rods and linkages, then A/F ratio adjust goes a long way.

2. A Carb makes more power than Fuel Injected alot of times, but is not an EFFICIENT way to deliver A/F.

3. You can get rid of a ton of wiring etc in the engine bay.

if that were the case then modern racers would not still be using it!!! not efficient??? in what way?? please do explain and don't say mpg!! cause if you know how to tune it you can dial it in quite well...........anyway......your cam choice for the 347 is not optimal and if you have at least 185 heads you'll be good.......I'm running an rpm air gap due to hood clearance issues with good results...some say I should be running a single plane but I was impressed with what it did so I'll leave well enough alone

what would you suggest for Cam then>? Cam is coming with the short block I am purchasing with the Eagle forged inside. I can obviously change it up if it isnt optimal. also I am trying to figure out which way to go on the intake and Carb. I am leaning towards the victor jr for intake and guessin to go with a edelbrock 750cfm to top it off.

Performer RPM airgap for a street/strip or full weight stang.
Victor Jr if your combo has a lot of mods/steep gearing.Something from the Comp Cams catalog should work great.
Call them with your list of mods and they will hook you up!
My 5.0 stroker made 647 HP NA with a Comp Cam and a 750 Demon, If you have 450-500 hp or less I would use the 650 Demon or Holley.

mjr46 you are taking the word efficient differently than I am.

Modern CARBS are more efficient than the original designs of the 70's and early 80's. They have better sealing, moldings, and fail safe features.

The fuel injection is more efficient, due to the fact the ECM can adjust the injector's pulsewidth to compensate for various conditions digitally in less than a second while you are driving.

Our uncle is a simple person, I removed the ECM, all the wiring, all the smog and AC.

Then just bolted on a carb, dizzy with vac advance, and coil all used for on $40 total parts.
