Default Electric Fan Wiring

Alright, i know how to wire up the electric fan, but i just had a little question. I wired up my MSD 6A box the other day, and it uses completely different wires going to my coil. Could i use my old coil positive wire to wire up the fan to switched 12 volt? Or will that make my car stay running when i turn the key off?

don't know how you wire up your msd but it still should be using the switched 12v source

Its still on a switched 12v, i just didnt explain that good enough. The diagram on the msd said to run the white/black to the original coil + and - wires, and run the orange and black to the coil. Right? But I wired the fan to the original coil + as well. Which makes the stock tach go crazy when i turn the car off.

if using msd ignition with a factory tach..you'll need to purchase part #8920 from msd called a tac adapter or suffer the effects you have

I used the 12v key on source for the wiper motor and it worked great. its the big red wire on the front wire harness of the wiper motor.
