Default Rear seal on trans

Hey just a quick question, I finally got my AOD today and the dude I got it from said I should replace the rear seal in it. How do I go about doing that? rear main seal

its best to do it while the trannies out otherwise u may have him do all this work and ur car may leak oil everywhere

yea i was gonna replace the main seal on the motor too but dude i bought the tranny from said i should replace the rear seal in the tranny too. I am installing the tranny myself. How do i replace that?

remove driveshaft using a 12mm 12pt wrench = 4 bolts at rear...pull drive shaft out...pry seal out and tap new one in and reinstall driveshaft and bolts

Pretty easy job, it is easier if you do it before you install the trans and you wont get a lot af trans fluid everywhere.
