I read many threads were most of the people said on a stock 5.0 this intake would kill low end....I am happy to report that was WRONG. I just finished my install of a Cartech box intake on top of a stock lower, NOT the gt40....and no real lose of tq. I still break'em loose (stock 16s, stock tires). My idle seemed to smooth out. Throttle response is great. I had a hard time hitting the rev limiter with the stock upper, but now it is easy. Pulls way better through out the whole band. Mods in sig. (pretty much stock).

It's gonna depend on what lower you use as well, a giant plenum on top of a tiny small runner lower won't do much, but a giant plenum on a lower with larger runners will have a much bigger impact.
