Phenolic spacers

RE: Phenolic spacers
with the 3/8" spacer i had to cut away some of my liner (i really should just remove it all) and then grind away some of the hood supports. as it is, when i womp on it, the engine still hits the hood but not bad

RE: Phenolic spacers
what you need 13 is one of these:

it will limit the engine movement so it don't hit the hood when you have it adjusted properly.

damn computers! don't know why it did that.
anyway, the Summit part number is CEE-4010 for $54.95 engine torque limiter is what they call it. go look it up at Summit Racing and you'll see it.

RE: Phenolic spacers
sh*t!! im getting that for sure. thanks roundy
a question though, sense some of my hp is no longer being wasted on rotating the motor, ill have more power at the wheels....wont i spin harder?
also, will this cause my front end to lift harder creating more weight transfer?

RE: Phenolic spacers
by harnessing the torque reaction of the engine into the chassis, you will increase the potential weight transfer of the front end toward the rear and also decrease the vehicle reaction time when you leave the line. I don't think this will make you spin any more than you do now, it might even reduce it some. and this device is lots easier on the chassis and driver than solid motor mounts for street driving.
