what brand should i replace the module with? i do not see any Motorcraft modules on 50resto.com

i just changed mine and i forgot to mark the rotor position on the distribuor, so i had to re time the motor from TDC...incase something like this happens to you...this is a great thread . it helped me out so i figure ill spread it around. https://mustangforums.com/m_3264510/tm.htm

LOL.. garbage because it has gone through thousands of heat cycles, and lasted 15-20 years...
thats a very ignorant comment you made. The problem isnt the module itself... It's the fact that Ford was stupid enough to put a heat sensitive piece of electronics... ON the motor!
you almost NEVER hear of the TFI going bad on an SN. But thats because its on the fenderwell, and has a HUGE heatsink on it.

Mine went bad 2 weeks ago. I went to Autozone and bought a new one, 2 weeks later that one is dead. It's all that heat coming from the motor that kills these things. Here's a link to do a no spark test to make sure it's the TFI module http://sbftech.com/index.php/topic,588.0.html
