Default removing all emissions..what do i need to know

ok there are no emissions here where i live, and if you have seen my post here https://mustangforums.com/m_5012279/tm.htm then you will see all the things i have done to fix the studder in my engines step...and after all that it is better but not gone... if it is an emissions issue, which it could still be.. cant i just remove all emissions equipment from the car completely? and if i do so ....what to i need to do in order for the car to run properly? anyone know of a post or article that touches on this topic , it would be greatly appriciated.. thanks all..

Default RE: removing all emissions..what do i need to know

I'll just tell you what I did, and maybe that will help, I too have no emissions, so when I rebuilt then engine I wanted to clean up the bay, first off I cut off and plugged all of the tubes running to the EGR lines on the left side of the engine, then I took off the back tubbing connecting each head and plugged the holes with a bolt, (sry cant remember the size) then I clamped off the EGR runner from the H-pipe and tore out all of the remaining EGR tubes on the left side of the engine bay... and I also plugged the hole in the upper-intake that runs to the canister box, (some people say not too, I just wanted to clean up the bay), but yea thats what i did, runs pretty good.

the emissions components are not going to cause drivability issues like you think you have...expecially the thermactor air injection system..although the egr could cause a little bit of an issue..if the pintle were stuck partially open due to carbon build up= cause a slight miss or rough run at idle..but I really don't think removing them will correct your concern

MORE SO IT'LL be a weight savings but any bit helps just remember to cap off vaccum lines at the manifold source when removing thermactor air system parts and egr parts
