As soon as the EEC detects an EGR related failure.......... it will delete/bypass its function, the only "issue" of having any EGR code logged, other than code 33.... is that the CEL will turn on. If you have the EVP connected, you could "simulate" a good valve closed signal (which is what the EGR simulators do).... by setting the EVP plunger to output anything between .24 vdc and .67 vdc all the time. This will cause codes 31, 34 and 35 NOT to appear, and the only one that will be logged is 33.
