Default fuel Press

i have a 94 gt, and i was wondering what is the stock fuel press, and i can take the vacuum line off of the regulator and it don't change the idle, is that fine or do i need a new fuel regulator. also car wants to surge at idle and at wide open throttle it sounds like it is pinging, i have adj the timing and it don't change it and i ran it for codes and no codes showed up, cleaned the IAC, THROTTLE BODY,MAF. I also done away with SMOG, and EGR. and still wont idle right.

fuel pressure should be around 31 at WOT im sure its the same at idle but i cant remember...as for the pinging, make sure you check your timing with a timing light not by just guessing, if you removed the smog and EGR and make sure you plugged all your vaccume lines that might be loose, if everything is ok have the MAF tested it could be a bad MAF

I have heard before that disconnecting the FPR will increase idle but guess what. I have tried on 4 diff vehicles and never noticed a difference. The only way I can tell is by doing it and watching the fuel pressure gauge. As far as the pinging, how did you adjust and check the timing? The idle surge soundsvacuum related if you already cleaned all the components, or TPS setting although there is some debate on what is correct.

wrong wrong wrong

Stock fuel pressure specs are 37-39PSI at idle with the vac line disconnected

do you think i could have a bad injector, and/or bad fuel pump, and some how a bad IAC that isn't showing up when I run it for engine codes?
